WHAT?
Individual participants will have the chance to network with other Europeans and deepen their cultural understanding of fellow Europeans in the context of developing greater understanding of the EU iron, steel and coal industries and our common cultural roots by:
- Exploring the common historical European figures central to the development of the industry;
- Developing an understanding of how language and culture are related and how we share common ideals;
- Exploring the use of specific language in classroom activities.
- Developing materials for use in education to explore concepts surrounding common past, joint future.
During the Ostrava phase of the course, participants will take part in lectures, meetings, seminars and workshops and will experience issues surrounding common cultural heritage. Participants will be asked to present relevant topics from their own countries, with reflection given to what they have studies on the course. During free time, the participants will be encouraged to network with each and form partnerships with fellow European educators thus deepening their intercultural knowledge and skills.
